GENERAL RULES
Rules Of Sportsmanship in the NFBL:
First and foremost, in game as league participents you're all to treat each other as though you are all civilized beings; because that is what we all are behind the computer screens in which we play. People like it when they're treated as equals; where we are all at the same level and people deserve to gain the same level of respec that they give. So if you would like to have respect from your fellow players, you must give respect to them as well. If this is something you find yourself to be incapable of, then this league cannot have you as a participent. The absulute ideology behind NFBL is sportmanship. Each clan joining this league will fight for and with this ideology and spread it behind NFBL boarders.
NFBL, the game:
Match submissions must be in by
Wednesday 12:00pm EST. for playing the following weekend,
via tactical
control.
Matches are possible to be scheduled following these possiblities (all time are EST):
Clan attacking EU Clan
Saturday: 12:00, 1:00, 2:00
Sunday: 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00
Clan attacking NA Clan
Saturday: 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00
Sunday: 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00
Clan attacking Neutrals
Saturday: 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00
Sunday: 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00
When managing your match in game, it is CRUCIAL that your clan has a sufficient amount of members with knowlege of your clans rcon and the responsible ability to operate it incase of an absent leader. The purpose of having these "clan rcons," is so that the clans are able to self manage the matches in which THEY are responsible for. Hosts simply provide the playing field and unless requested help by ingame participents, cannot be held accountable for lost/missuse of rcon. The same policy follows suit to that of each NFBL staff member as well
Match results must be submitted to
matchsubmission@hotmail.com
at the end of each weekend.
Each clan is responsible for submitting the results of all of their own matches.
Even if a staff member knows the results of your matches, you must submit your results.
This is to ensure that the appropriate information is available to NFBL staff members when updating the site and that the information can be provided to clans should the site not be able to be updated for whatever reason.
If match results are not submitted, your clan will not receive the region(s) you attacked, even if you won your match(es).
Match results are due by Monday at 12:00 PM EST.
Clanleaders tasks:
All new clan members must be announced by their clanleadres on the NightFire Forums (http://009.web-fun.net/forum/) in your private clan's section.
Members who are not announced will not be allowed to play in NFBL matches.
The rule is designed to prevent clans to recruit players for specific matches with short notice.
As per the previous NFBL rules, members must be announced at least 48 hours prior to the match(es) in question.
The NFBL Staff reserves the right to question the identity of all clan members entering a NFBL server or remove players from NFBL servers if they have not been announced early enough on the forums.
NFBL staff will penalize all player breaking these rules with a one week ban.
The one week ban represents the weekend he shouldn’t have been allowed to play in.
Clan leaders, be mindful of your members and what they say/do within the league. they're YOUR responsibility and we as league staff cannot be held accountable for their actions.
Should you have any issues or complaints that need our attention, please refrain from sending us messages through GameSpy Arcade or any other communication channel. Instead use the leaders section of the forum to inform us of your trouble and we will tend to your needs in a timely manner.
Every rematch should be resubmit. The rematch won't be automatically scheduled. If you forget to submit, you'll lose your opportunity to play this remathc.
CLAN LADDER
The NFBL Clan Ladder is for all NFBL clans to play in
and will be on going. Match submissions must be in by
Wednesday 12:00pm EST. for playing the following weekend,
via tactical
control. You can only challenge the clan directly
above you in the ladder.
Clans that are ranked in Odd numbers i.e. 2, 4, 6, 8, 10
will play on alternating weeks to Even number ranked
clans i.e. 3, 5, 7, 9. The ranks that can play for the
current week are displayed on the map rotation.
The defending clan does not have to accept the challenge
if the time and date is not possible for them. If
possible the NFBL will try arrange an alternative time
and date that both clans can agree on. Clan Availability
times can be found on the NFBL Clans pages. The winning
clan will move up the ladder by one place and the losing
clan will go down by one place. New clans joining the
league will start at the bottom.
Maps for each game will be chosen by the challenging
clan. Each week the maps that can be played will change.
These will be a selection of Team DM maps. The Map
schedules can be found on the NFBL Clan Ladder page.
All weapons apart from Rocket Launchers, Ronins and
Grenade Launchers will be allowed.
Clan Ladder Matches will be 30 minutes long. The game
server name shall be in the following format : NFBLCL
- (Clan v Clan). This would stand for, " Nightfire
Bond League Clan Ladder - Clan A v Clan B (Example).
See below for full server set up
details.
Each game must be played with a minimum of 2 players per
side. The maximum amount of players will depend on the
individual clans. This information is available on the
NFBL Clans pages. For example clan A wishes to battle
the clan above it, Clan B. Clan A can play with 7
players, but Clan B can only play with 5, so the maximum
amount of players for the game will be 5 per side. If
the amount of players per clan where reversed Clan A has
5 Players and Clan B has 7 Players, the maximum amount
of players for the game will be still be 5 per side, as
this is the lowest amount.

| WORLD CONQUEST
World Conquest is similar to the board game Risk, but
instead of fighting with plastic armies - we will be
fighting the wars for other countries with the Nightfire
game. Anyone who has every played Risk will understand
what I am talking about.
World conquest is played on a map (Asia) that has
various countries on it. The game shall always be played
using CTF maps. Each country shall have its own
CTF map. Each clan (Which is part of the league)
shall start out with 1 country. There will be one
starting country for each clan. All the other countries
shall be considered neutral (Open for anyone to attack).
Clans can only attack from countries they own and only
against countries that are next to them (As in the game
Risk). Clans will be allowed to attack one country a
week if they want to.
The world conquest games shall be (2-4) Vs (2- 4) when
two clans are fighting for each others countries, but no
so, when a clan is fighting a neutral country. ANY
members within the league (Not just clans) may defend
for a neutral country. So if only 2 league members
showed up to defend for the neutral country, then it
would be 2-4 (Clan attackers) Vs 2 (League defenders).
Keep in mind that neutral countries can not be defended
by more than 4 players (2-4 Vs 4).
The concept here is simple - it generates fun for
everyone at the start of the game while representing the
unorganised armies of the neutrals. The reason I said
'at the start of the game' is that, eventually there
will be no more neutral countries. Neutral countries are
normally the first to be conquered. Once a clan attacks
a country and wins - they will be awarded DEFENCE
POINT(S). These Defence Points will add a tactical
advantage within the game. Defence Points may be placed
on any country the clan owns, before that clan owned
country is attacked (Defence Points may also be saved
for later use). Once placed they CAN NOT be removed.
There shall be no more than 5 Defence Points on any
country.
What do Defence Points do? They represent a number the
defending country gets to add to their total score at
the end of the game. So if the attacking country had 5
flag captures and the defending country had only 1 (5 to
1), but had 5 Defence Points - the defending country
would win because of the Defence Points (5 to 1+5=6).
Now - once the defending country successfully defends
itself - the Defence Points are EXPENDED for that
country. New points may be placed if available, by the
clan that owns the country. Capturing a neutral country
awards the attacker with 1 defence point. Likewise,
Capturing a clan country awards the attacker with 2
Defence Points. Once a clan looses all its countries -
they are out of the game.
The aim of the game is capture and own as many Countries
as you can in the 16 week period it is played in. The
winner will be the clan with the most Countries. If
there is a draw of one or more clans the winner will be
determined by the number of Unallocated Defence Points
they have left. If there is still a draw after that, a
play off will be arranged.
Match submissions must be must be sent in via tactical
control and be in by Wednesday 12:00pm EST for
playing the following weekend. The Deadline for placing
Defence Points is Monday 12:00pm EST for the following
weekend. The maximum amount of WC matches that can be
played in one day is 2 per clan. This can be either 1
match for attacking and 1 match for defending, or 2
defending matches. The Results of the match should be
sent in straight after the match has ended. Each clan
may only attack once a week.
Weapons and Power ups.
Weapons allowed in World Conquest are all except rocket
launchers, grenade launchers and Ronins. Power ups
allowed are all but skull.
Clan Knockout.
If a clan gets knocked out (being knocked out looses all
Defence Points previously owned ) it is given another
neutral country to start again after a one week break.
During the one week break the clan can still defend for
the neutrals. After the break if there are no neutral
countries left, the clan can challenge a clan owned
country to gain control of it, any Defence Points on the
country are not counted for the battle (This is shown on
the map by strikethrough text) . If the attacking
clan win the counrty any previous Defence Points on the
country are wiped out. If the attacking clan looses, any
Defence Points on the country stay as they where.
At week 10 of the World Conquest, clans that get knocked
out can no longer rejoin to own a country. They can
still defend for the Neutrals though.
World conquest battles shall be 30 minutes. The game
server name shall be in the following format : NFBLWC-(Country
being attacked). This would stand for, " Nightfire
Bond League World Conquest - France ( Example).
See below for full server set up
details.

| GALAXY CONQUEST
Galaxy Conquest (GC) is a game set in space and
played with CTF & DM maps. Matches are played at
weekends were a clan can attack up to 1 Planet a weekend
if they choose to do so. Match submissions must be must
be sent in via tactical
control and be in by Wednesday
12:00pm EST for playing the following weekend. The
Deadline for placing Defence Points is Monday 12:00pm
EST for playing the following weekend.
The maximum amount of clans that are allowed to play
in the game at a time is 10 and the maximum amount of GC
matches that can be played in one day is 2 per clan.
This can be either 1 match for attacking and 1 match for
defending, or 2 defending matches. The Results of the
match should be sent in straight after the match has
ended.
Each sector contains 4 planets. Each sector is
devided between 2 planets with CTF levels and 2 planets
with 2 TEAM CT levels. There is only 1 sector with 4
CTF levels owned by NFBL staff (explanation later) and 1 sector with 4 TEAM CT levels left empty to conquer. Clans
joining after the 1st round cannot choose to start in
the TEAM CT sector, unless
there are no other free sectors.
The aim of the game is to conquer as many planets and sectors as you can in the 16 week period it is played in. The clan with the most points at the end of the game wins. In the event of a tie break the clan who has most unused Defence Points win. A tie break after that would go into a play off.
POINTS:
Planet = 1
Sector = 3
At the start each clan will be given a planet and a
sector. Clans attack neutral planets to gain ownership.
Once a clan has conquered all 4 planets in their sector
they can travel to any other sector to start to attack
another clans’ sector planets, either neutral or clan
owned. A win over a clan owned planet gives 2 Defence
Points and win over a neutral planet gives 1 Defence
Points, all NFBL players can defend for the neutrals. If
the clan is one of the original starting clans and they
are still in their own sector at week 6, they can start
to attack outside of their own sector the following week
(week 7).
If a new clan joins in-between weeks 4 and 9 they are
given 2 weeks to try and get planets. During this time
other clans can not attack any planets that they own.
The new clan can attack both neutral and clan owned
planets in any sector. This would give the new clan a
maximum of 3 planets that they can own before they can
be attacked. If a new clan joins between weeks 2 and 3
they will have to wait until week 4 before they can
attack planets outside of their Sector both clan owned
or Neutral.
Galaxy conquest battles shall be 30 minutes. The game
server name shall be in the following format :
NFBLGC-(Planet being attacked). This would stand for,
" Nightfire Bond League Galaxy Conquest - Gandalf (
Example). See below for full server set up details.
The Galaxy conquest games shall be (2 - 4) Vs (2 - 4)
when two clans are fighting for each others planets, but
no so, when a clan is fighting a neutral planet. ANY
members within the league (Not just clans) may defend
for a neutral planet. So if only 2 league members showed
up to defend for the neutral planet, then it would be
2-4 (Clan attackers) Vs 2 (League defenders). Keep in
mind that neutral planets can not be defended by more
than 4 players (2 - 4 Vs 4).
Defence Points.
Clans can place Defence Points on a planet they own
to strengthen it. For example Planet A has 4 Defence
Points on it, these will be counted in the overall score
for the defending clan. The attacking clan will have to
win by more than 4 flags or 12 Frags. Each defence point
is worth 1 Flag or 3 Frags. No more than 5
Defence Points can be used at a time on each planet. If
a clan successfully defends a planet without using any
placed Defence Points, the Defence Points are NOT
expended. However, if a clan successfully defends a
planet, but they used 1 or more of their placed Defence
Points, ALL Defence Points on the planet are expended.
New points may be placed if available, by the clan that
owns the planet.
Clans can choose to trade 10 Defence Points for 1
additional attack. The attack must be used in the
following round and cannot be saved for future usage.
Submitting a request to trade Defence Points for an
additional attack must be done before Wednesday 12:00pm
EST through Tactical Control.
Weapons and Power ups.
Weapons allowed in Galaxy Conquest are all except
rocket launchers, grenade launchers and Ronins. Power
ups allowed are all but skull.
Clan Knockout.
Contrary to previously played GC, The homeplanet of all clans will now be untakeable. This is to ensure that all clans have an equal opportunity to play matches every weekend, as well as granting weaker clans an "invincibility" against stronger clans. This rule will be implemented for the entirety of the Galaxy Conquest competition, at which time the necessity/success of this rule will be re-evaluated

ISLAND CONQUEST
Island Conquest (IC) is a game set in the sea on islands
and played with CTF & DM maps. Matches are played at
weekends were a clan can attack up to 1 Sector a weekend
if they choose to do so. Match submissions must be must
be sent in via tactical control and be in by Wednesday
12:00pm EST for playing the following weekend. The
Deadline for placing Defence Points is Monday 12:00pm
EST for playing the following weekend.
The maximum amount of clans that are allowed to play
in the game at a time is 12 and the maximum amount of IC
matches that can be played in ONE day is 2 per clan (except
rematches). This can be either 1 match for attacking and 1
match for defending, or 2 defending matches. The Results
of the match should be sent in straight after the match has
ended.
Each starting sector contains 6-7 sectors. The sectors are
mostly CTF maps, you will find special special sectors,
such are marked with "A" and "D" - "A" stands for Airport, "D" for Docks.
Capturing the Docks with your clan colors gives you the
possibility to attack the next surrounding islands.
Placing your banner on the airPort makes you able to fly
to the next surrounding islands and even one further.
But since it takes a lot of ressources and time to gather
either ships or planes, you have to wait one week to use
the docks again. This, however, can be avoided by alternating
between docks and airport, so in one week you use the docks,
in the next week the airport.
A detailed list where it is stated which docks can attack which
docks and which airports can attack which airports will be
published as soon as completed.
The aim of the game is capture and own as many
sectors and islands as you can in the 16 week period it
is played in. The clan with the most points at the end
of the game wins. In the event of a tie break the clan
who has most unused Defence Points win. A tie break
after that would go into a play off.
POINTS:
Sector = 1
Island Bonus = Amount of sectors * 0.3
At the start each clan will be given a sector in an
island. Clans attack neutral sectors to gain ownership.
A win over a clan owned sector gives 2 Defence
Points and win over a neutral sector gives 1 Defence
Point, all NFBL players can defend for the neutrals.
If a new clan joins in-between weeks 4 and 9 they are
given 2 weeks to try and get sectors. During this time
other clans can not attack any sectors that they own.
The new clan can attack both neutral and clan owned
sectors on its island. This would give the new clan a
maximum of 3 sectors that they can own before they can
be attacked.
Each defence point is worth 1 Flag or 3 Frags. No more
than 5 Defence Points can be used for defence on any
sector.
Island conquest battles shall be 30 minutes. The game
server name shall be in the following format:
NFBLIC-(Sector being attacked).
This would stand for:
Nightfire Bond League Island Conquest - Mallorca Delta (Example).
See below for full server set up details.
The Island conquest games shall be (2 - 4) Vs (2 - 4)
when two clans are fighting for each others sectors, but
no so, when a clan is fighting a neutral sector. ANY
members within the league (Not just clans) may defend
for a neutral sector. So if only 2 league members showed
up to defend for the neutral sector, then it would be
2-4 (Clan attackers) Vs 2 (League defenders). Keep in
mind that neutral sectors can not be defended by more
than 4 players (2 - 4 Vs 4).
Defence Points.
Clans can place Defence Points on a sector they own
to strengthen it. For example Sector A has 4 Defence
Points on it, these will be counted in the overall score
for the defending clan. The attacking clan will have to
win by more than 4 flags or 20 Frags. Each defence point
is worth 1 Flag or 5 Frags. No more than 5
Defence Points can be used at a time on each sector. If
a clan successfully defends a sector without using any
placed Defence Points, the Defence Points are NOT
expended. However, if a clan successfully defends a
sector, but they used 1 or more of their placed Defence
Points, ALL Defence Points on the sector are expended.
New points may be placed if available, by the clan that
owns the sector.
Weapons allowed in Island Conquest are all except
rocket launchers, grenade launchers and Ronins. Power
ups allowed are all but skull.
Clan Knockout.
If a clan gets knocked out (being knocked out looses
all Defence Points previously owned) it can choose
another sector to start again after a one week break.
The primary Sector on an Island will be the clans base
sector. During the one week break the clan can still
defend for the neutrals. After the break if there are no
free sectors left, the clan chooses a neutral sector in
one of a clan owned sectors to be their base sector. If
there are no neutral sectors left the clan can challenge
a clan owned sector to gain control of it and make it
their base sector, any Defence Points on the sector are
not counted for the battle (This is shown on the sector
map by strikethrough text). If the attacking clan win
the sector any previous Defence Points on the sector are
wiped out. If the attacking clan looses, any Defence
Points on the sector stay as they where.
If a clan gets knocked out and rejoins the game they
can also start to attack sectors both neutral and clan
owned in other sectors of the map. When a knocked out
clan rejoins the game, for the first 2 weeks no other
clans can attack any sectors that they own. This would
give the clan a maximum of 3 sectors that they can own
before they can be attacked.
At week 10 of the Island Conquest, clans that get
knocked out can no longer rejoin to own a sector. They
can still defend for the Neutrals though.
